HOUMANSOFT BV, Boechtstraat 10, 1860 Meise, Belgium, company number BE0867562258, is the controller of your personal data at the Opark car park (Boechtstraat 8, 1860 Meise) and on this website.

Number plate recognition in the car park

Cameras at the entrance and exit automatically read the number plate of every vehicle. We process:

• the number plate;
• the time of entry and exit;
• an image of the vehicle at entry and exit;
• the amount paid and any discount or subscription;
• in the event of a breach of the rules: a photo of the vehicle.

Purposes

We use this data only to:

• manage access to the car park and open the barrier;
• calculate the parking time and the amount due;
• apply partner discount codes and subscriptions;
• handle questions and complaints;
• enforce the car park rules and recover unpaid amounts.

Legal basis

Processing is necessary to perform the parking contract you enter into by using the car park (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).

For the security of the car park, fraud prevention and the recovery of unpaid amounts, we rely on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The cameras are used in accordance with the Belgian Act of 21 March 2007 on the installation and use of surveillance cameras.

Retention period

Number plate data and images are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically.

In the event of a complaint, dispute or unpaid amount, the relevant data is kept for as long as needed to resolve it. Accounting data relating to subscriptions is kept for as long as the law requires.

Contact form and partner area

Through the contact form we process your name, email address, phone number and number plate if provided, and your message, in order to answer your request. This data is kept for up to 12 months after our last exchange.

For the partner area we process the partner's email address, name and company and a log of sign-ins, for as long as the partnership lasts.

Recipients

Your data is never sold. It is accessible only to HOUMANSOFT BV and to technical service providers acting on our behalf (parking system, payment, hosting, email) under a data processing agreement. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, this is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Data is disclosed to public authorities only where the law requires it.

This website uses no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.

• opark_consent: remembers your choice in the cookie banner (1 year);
• opark_lang: remembers your language, only if you accept cookies (1 year);
• opark_portal: secure session cookie for the partner area, strictly necessary (8 hours).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Send your request using the contact form, with your number plate and the date of your visit so that we can find the data. We reply within one month.
